Jost Goot fashion show. London Fashion Week A/W 2009

 

Jost Goot's latest collection shown in London on February 24 explored strong geological themes which presented an exciting challenge for G&L design duo Gevorg and Levon. Chiseled toes and wedges brought to mind shards of flint, yet the contrast achieved through use of fine suedes in varying shades of stone overlapping with black emphasized a distinct feminine identity. The simplicity of shoes' cut and palette framed the organic luxury of Goot's tailoring challenging recent trends for overembelishment. Fashion's height fascination continues with G&L for Josh Goot wedges measuring at 14cm, they give the leg a fine, elongated line without theatrical exaggeration and bulk.
